CAROL KWAN=CLEAN, AFFORDABLE, SAFE DRINKING WATER
About
this Web Site
As the
Division 3 Director of the West Basin Municipal Water
District, I have created this web site so that you can get to know
me, my background, what I have accomplished, and my hopes for the
future. Web pages include my biography, family, ballot statement,
accomplishments, and goals for the future. I am proud of my record
and welcome the opportunity provided by the web to place it where
all can see.
About
West Basin Municipal Water District:
West
Basin Municipal Water District provides imported water to approximately
one million people in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. West
Basin is also a pioneer of water reuse and reclamation, operating
the largest reuse treatment plant in the United States. Division 3,
the board seat I currently occupy, covers the areas of Manhattan Beach,
Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Lomita, and unincorporated areas of
Torrance (Harbor Gateway). I have lived in these communities for the
past 36 years. In addition
to the cities I represent, West Basin also serves the cities of Hawthorne,
Lawndale, Gardena, El Segundo, Culver City, West Hollywood, Malibu,
Inglewood, Carson, cities on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and portions
of other cities in Los Angeles County.
About
Me:
Making
sure the water we drink is safe, reliable, and affordable transcends
all cultural, ethnic and political boundaries in Southern California.
I want to make sure the water is safe for me, my family, my neighbors,
and my community. The record shows we have accomplished this during
the past twelve years of my service as director. I would like
to continue to do this for the next four years. Please give me your
support.
